What our photowalk offers you:

Approaching the street scene in the right way is one of the challenges that every good Streetphotographer faces.

In this workshop in the company of photographer Marco Sconocchia, you will learn to manage the multiple factors that allow you to produce good street photographs on the stage of the vibrant area of Pigneto, an hidden gem not far from the city center.

In this unique activity we combine photography and discovery of the city and its streets, away from the usual clichés, in an experience created by people who experience the city and all its nuances.

What is streetphotography:

”Street photography is a genre of photography that captures everyday life and public spaces in an unposed and spontaneous way. It often focuses on human subjects, their interactions, and the urban environment, highlighting candid moments and the essence of a city’s culture and atmosphere”

How the activity works?:

The meeting point is our studio/gallery in Pigneto. After enjoying a coffee on us and a bit of socializing, we’ll show a short video about street photography. Then, it’s time to hit the streets with Marco, exploring this vibrant neighborhood known as a hub of street art and Roman culture. You’ll dive into an unforgettable experience among the locals, discovering a Rome that’s off the beaten path.


Who can participate?

This is a workshop open to beginners, intermediate and advanced.

Workshop focus:

  • Camera settings
  • Composition, Levels, Triangles
  • Approach to the subjects, position when shooting
  • Life cycle of the scene
  • Seize the day

Locations:

Coffee at our School in Pigneto (Via Macerata 36) and then neighboring areas:

Via Macerata, Via del Pigneto, Via Fanfulla da Lodi, Via Prenestina.

WHO IS MARCO SCONOCCHIA:

Marco Sconocchia is a professional photographer based between Rome and London

His photographic production began in 2014, when he began collaborating with the TPI as a London correspondent.

Over the years he has collaborated with various national and international newspapers and magazines with The Guardian, La Repubblica, 6 mois, El pais, La Stampa, Nat Geo, The Sun, The Independent and many others.

In 2017-2018 he was a staff photographer for Vice UK.
